Gambrills, MD, April 16, 2003 - CardioMed Device Consultants proudly announces the addition of former FDA scientific reviewer, Richard Galgon, to its growing team of professionals. Dr. Galgon comes to CardioMed with six years of review experience in FDA's Office of Device Evaluation. He worked both in the Interventional Cardiology Devices Branch and the General Hospital Devices Branch at FDA. In addition, he served at the division-level as a focal point for electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), software development, and magnetic resonance (MR) compatibility issues concerning medical devices, and as a liaison to standards development organizations. Dr. Galgon holds a MD degree from the Albany Medical College, a MS degree from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS degree from The Catholic University of America. He brings a considerable body of medical, scientific, and regulatory expertise to CardioMed, and is a welcome addition to its team of consultants. |
