Sarah Yohannan, PhD

Dr. Yohannan works with CardioMed Device Consultants as an affiliate consultant. She has an undergraduate degree in chemistry from Rutgers University, where her research involved structural analysis of Moloney murine leukemia virus reverse transcriptase. Dr. Yohannan received her Ph.D.in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California, Los Angeles where she worked in the structural biology field studying membrane protein folding and function. She was a postdoctoral fellow at the Yale University School of Medicine where her research using protein X-ray crystallography, electrophysiology and biochemical methods focused on heart disease caused by ion channel/drug interactions. Her scientific background was additionally supplemented with several writing courses.

Dr. Yohannan combines her scientific and technical writing expertise to support FDA regulatory documentation development and submission for medical devices and combination products. Her experience additionally includes writing clinical reports as well as scientific and medical manuscripts.
